Habits are easy to make and hard to break. We are grown up listening and being taught you use paper or newspaper to get spotless mirrors. We still mostly reach such stuff. So using a trusty fiber-free cloth is recommended. Such a cloth takes off filth and grease without leaving any spot or fiber behind. Here are two methods for cleaning a mirror, a ready-made solution from the store and one you made at home through DIY with the stuff you already have at home.

  1. Use soap and scent-free mirror and glass cleaning products.
  2. Instead of a newspaper or an old rag use a thin microfiber cloth.
  3. Wipe in the top to bottom and side-to-side motion.
  4. Remove difficult stains first.
  5. Repeat the cleaning procedure until you get the required result.
  6. Never wipe in a circular motion.

Glass cleaner method

  1. Spray glass cleaner on the cloth first because if you spray it directly on the

mirror, it would drip at the back of the mirror and turn silver coating

into tarnish black marks.

  1. For spotless results, wipe with a microfiber cloth from top to bottom

and side-to-side motion and make sure you wipe the entire surface in

single swipe.

Vinegar and water method

  1. Mix half amount of vinegar, and half the amount of water and shake it well in the spray bottle.
  1. Spray the mixture directly on the microfiber cloth and wipe it top to

bottom and side-to-side motion as mentioned above.

  1. Try not to go backward on an area you have already swiped.

Vinegar, water, and dishwashing soap

  1. Mix one cup of water, one cup of vinegar, and a teaspoon of dish wash soap.
  2. Put this mixture in a spray bottle and shake gently to mix.
  3. You can spray this mixture on the mirror directly and let it stay for a few

seconds.

  1. Now wipe it off with a microfiber cloth to get a streak-free and shiny mirror.
